Artist Statement
Through a disciplined reduction process, I distill photographic imagery into high-contrast black and white, where light and shadow become a visual language of duality. Working through form, I interrogate the unseen architecture of perception. I do not merely document; I reconstruct reality to unveil what lies beneath the surface.
Artist Biography
William Miquel is an American artist born in 2001. He earned a degree in Visual Art from Emerson College in 2023. Since then, he has worked as a fine art photographer in black-and-white. His practice was shaped by a pivotal moment: watching his father have a stroke, an experience that changed his view on life and exposed both its beauty and fragility.
